Sample Site

Creativetravelsites.com has provided its service for multiple social groups successfully with similar results, regardless of group size. While Creativetravelsites.com, at its most basic, provides communication from the group on the trip to their interested families, followers, and members; most travelling groups see the work of Creativetravelsites.com as a necessary, on-trip, public relations firm – communicating positive newsworthy information to an interested Internet community.

Smaller Group Example

A veteran’s based group, the American Legion, took a trip to New York City to honor the memories of those lost in the attacks on the United States in 2001. The group was provided a website with a unique Internet address. On the website, there were places for news, the itinerary, links to places of interest, all Creativetravelsites.com pictures, and a place for group members themselves to share their personal pictures. Click on the picture below to see the actual website.

As the trip was too small to send Creativetravelsites.com media professionals, still cameras were sent in their place that were simple enough for anyone on the trip to take great pictures. Upon their return, the data from the cameras were uploaded, sold to interested parties online, and viewed over 1000 times within the first 3 days of posting.

Larger Group Example

One trip supported by Creativetravelsites.com was a high school band on their trip to Hawaii. Nearly 250 students, parents, faculty, and followers went to enjoy the trip to represent the band, the school, the district, and the city.

The band made their trip site a priority to communicate information and documentation to their followers and the community at large. Any trip announcements, information, or even meetings regarding the trip were recorded and added to the web in an immediate and timely fashion. During the trip, hundreds of pictures were posted daily, along with audio and video clips showing both the bands activities and flavors of the students and staff enjoying themselves on the trip.

This site generated nearly 500,000 hits in its short lifespan and 300,000 hits the week of the trip.

To take advantage of the high amount of traffic, local businesses advertised on the website, which generally felt that if 10,000 hits a day will at least see their banner or advertisement on the site, a few dollars per day is well worth the cost of marketing. This created a unique fundraising effort for the band with ALL advertising revenue dollars going straight back to the band.

The reaction to the band's Hawaii website has been fantastic. The band directors love it – it requires no effort on their part - but the promotion, positive exposure, and ability to generate revenue, is a welcome addition to their program.

Parents love seeing their children happy and doing well while they are far from home. Students love learning about where they are visiting and afterwards, reliving the trip. The site literally generates a large audience through positive interest with those connected in some way to the group being documented.
